WLAN Network Driver: Realtek PCI-E Wireless LAN Driver version 20. Any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Not sure how true this is but it would explain the sudden uninstallation of it.
What I've read is that some of the new WLAN Adapters have stopped including the Network Hosted Virtual Adapter in their installation package. Restarted my machine after every change made to the network adapters Looked for older editions of the adapter, but they either installed but didn't have the Network Hosted Virtual Adapter, or weren't compatible with my machine. The VMNet Driver is also added in the Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs Tab. Virtual Machine Network Driver (or Services) will be in there as an item. You will see a window that lists all the software connections on the machine. When viewing the Windows Network and Sharing Center I came across something curious: My WiFi adapter has been disabled, however I am most definitely connected to my network and able to access the internet. Both VirtualBox and Windows appear to be running successfully. Searched the Lenovo website for their default WLAN Adapter driver, downloaded and installed - but was the same one I had as my updated version To check if you have the correct driver installed, Open Network Connections and right click to Properties. I am running VirtualBox 4.3.28 on 64-bit Windows 8.1. Updated WLAN Adapter to latest version. Tried rolling back WLAN Adapter to oldest version - 09/2015
